A high school female student at Wamalwa high school Kanduyi who disappeared on her way to school has been found alive.
According to the girl’s father Benenect Wakhulenya, his daughter Brenda Khatenya returned back home on Monday February 10.
The student disappeared on January 23 together with his friend and classmate Cynthia Mukhwana and Brenda’s baby a four year old Emmanuel Wanjala.
“Am very happy that my daughter is back after disappearing for two weeks, I was very much worried about her life, I will take her back to school,” he told this Site on phone.
Brenda was a form three student at the learning institution and disappeared all of a sudden after her friend helped her pick the baby from their home in Lusanjela ‘A’ village, in Makutano of tuuti/Marakaru ward Kanduyi constituency.
Reports indicate that Brendah had been kept by a man only identified as Mike in Webuye town.
Cynthia is also said to be staying with his father in Nairobi after running away from her mother.
On January 29, unknown man believed from Mahanga village in Webuye had called Brenda’s father and demanded Sh25,000 ransom to release her.
Wakhulenya had previously reported the disappearance to Bungoma police station under the OB 65/23/1/2020 seeking for police help to find her daughter.
Wamalwa Kijana high school principal Ken Waliaula has pledged to work with the student’s parents to ensure she returns back to school.
“I will personal handle the matter to ensure that Brenda is back to class to carry on with her studies,” said Waliaula.
