Ford Kenya party has vowed to take action against it’s MCAs who were in the forefront of the impeachment motion of it’s leaders.

The impeachment saw majority leader Florence Wekesa and majority Chief Whip Everlyne Mutyembu toppled on Thursday.

They were replaced by Joseph Nyongesa as the majority leader, Tongaren MCA Elizabeth Tindi as his deputy, Meshack Simiyu alias Museveni as the majority Chief Whip and Bungoma township MCA Joseph Maguda as the deputy chief whip.

However, Ford Kenya party Secretary General Dr.Eseli Simiyu says the impeachment us illegal as there was no wide consultation.

Eseli stated that there was no gazette notice giving MCAs a go ahead to make any changes in the assembly dominated by FK leaders.

The Tongaren Mp says he wrote to the assembly speaker Emmanuel Situma to stop the changes because the top organ wasn’t consulted.

Eseli mentioned the rebel MCAs Elizabeth Tindi (Tongaren), Joseph Nyongesa (Majority Leader), Joseph Kawa (Bokoli) and Meshack Museveni (Majority Chief Whip) has those who aren’t paying party subscription fee of Sh5,000 monthly.

He says that he has written to them up to May to pay or else the party top organ shall meet to decide their future in the party.”We don’t need people who aren’t loyal to the party, we will need to reorganize ourselves,” he said.

He added, “The removal of the former leaders can affect the party effectiveness in 2022, there is no legality in their removal, we had only Florence Wekesa in Kimilili and Everlyne Mutyembu in Sirisia, they should not be undermined,” he said.

Eseli says that the change of leadership needs in house meeting.”I was calling for the wider consultation before any changes was done, the party organ and management will pronounce itself on it,” he said

He says he has been intimidated and blackmailed and even tried to be bribed to give in to some burning issues affecting the party and the county government.

The legislator distanced himself from the propaganda that he was doing contracts with the Bungoma county government.

“I have not won any tender with Bungoma County government, It is just blackmail with people out to malign my name and reputation,” said Eseli.
