Two middle aged men have been killed in Bungoma county in separate incidences.
The irony is that all deceaseds persons are from Kabuchai constituency.
In the first incident, a man believed to be a staunch follower of Dini ya Msambwa, a local sect was hacked to death by his wife and sons.
Reports indicate that the deceased who might have returned home drunk had a domestic wrangles with his family members before he was hacked to death using machetes.
Confirming the incident Chwele Chief John Mwanja said that the wife and her sons killed their father Ben Wafula Walumoli and later fled the scene.
“The deceased is the son to a former Dini ya Msambwa team leader Joash Walumoli and we found him lying in a pool of blood at his Musitati village, Sichei sub location home while the suspects had fled,” said Mwanja.
The incident took place on Monday at around 8pm and body has been taken to Bungoma county referral hospital mortuary.
In the second incident, a 48 years old man was knocked down by a sugar cane tractor at Ndengelwa on Kanduyi-Webuye highway.
The deceased identified as Moses Simiyu from Luuya village was being ferried on a motorbike when the tractor knocked them from behind in a 7:30pm incident.
The deceased and the rider were from Kanduyi heading to Mabanga when they were hit from behind by the speeding tractor also heading towards Webuye.
The deceased was the pillion passenger and died on spot while the rider survived but in critical condition in hospital.
The deceased body was also taken to Bungoma county referral hospital mortuary by Traffic Officers.
