A top Kabuchai politician is reportedly admitted in a local private hospital with Coronavirus like symptoms.
Reports indicate that a former Kabuchai Constituency parliamentary aspirant Edward Tale Nabangi is hospitalized at Lifecre hospital formerly Lumboka hospital in Bungoma town since Tuesday July 21.
A close family member who asked for anonymity however denied that Nabangi had contracted Covid-19.
“Stop the false romours Hon.Nabangi is not suffering from covid-19, he has a problem with his pressure and sugar, am the one nursing him it’s only pressure and sugar level that has risen, kindly stop those false romours until family gives clear information,” he said.
Nabangi an accountant by profession is reported to have travelled from Nairobi last week and was engaged in distribution of face masks and Sanitizers in Kabuchai Constituency.
He was later hospitalized at Khamulati hospital in Kimilili after falling sick where he was referred to Lifecare hospital in Bungoma town where he has been in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since then.
Efforts to get a comment from the medical facility management were futile as they didn’t pick calls nor responded to the messages send to their phones.
Nabangi has been instrumental in helping vulnerable people in Kabuchai Constituency through building them iron sheet houses, distribution of food and sanitary items to combat Corona.
He vied for the parliamentary seat on an independent ticket but was defeated by the incumbent Mp James Mukwe Lusweti of Ford Kenya party.
Bungoma county has so far reported 17 Covid-19 positive cases according to the county health CEC Dr.Antony Walela.
So far, 12 people have been discharged from Webuye Isolation centre after turning negative.
