Ford Kenya party owned by its embattled party leader Moses Wetang’ula has lashed out at devolution cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa for trying to auction it.
In a press release seen by Opera News, Ford Kenya party acting Secretary General Chris Wamalwa has distance it from the sentiments allegedly used by the CS in purpotedly trying to form an alliance with Kanu.
“As a party we want to distance ourselves from him and to state categorically state that CS Wamalwa does not have any legal or moral authority to speak or transact any business on behalf of FK party,” said Wamalwa.
It is alleged that devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa during a visit to Baringo senator Gideon Moi’s home in Kabarak on Saturday.
“In the statement the CS purpoted to represent Ford Kenya party and he was in consultation to have FK work together with indepedence party Kanu,” said the Kiminini Mp.
Wamalwa stated that Ford Kenya party has legal structures of entering into any possible political alliances but not through auctioneers and political hawkers like the devolution CS.
“It’s on record that CS Wamalwa auctioned his New Ford Kenya party to Jubilee and if he is willing to officially join politics we dare him to resign from his current position and join the bandwagon of full time politicking,” said the Kiminini legislator.
CS Wamalwa has been instrumental in leading Council of governors chairman Wycliffe Oparanya, Governors Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Sospeter Ojamoong (Busia) and Patrick Khaemba of Trans Nzoia county in launching development projects in Western Kenya.
He is also a close ally of Ford Kenya party coup plotters Eseli Simiyu Mp Tongaren constituency as the Secretary General and Kanduyi’s Mp Wafula Wamunyinyi as the interim party leader.
